Author: Enrico Miaroma

Born in Trento, Enrico Miaroma graduated in Piano, Choral Music and Choir Conducting, Music Education and Composition. He also studied with Franco Donatoni, Salvatore Sciarrino and Ennio Morricone at the Chigiana Academy in Siena, the Romanini Foundation in Brescia and the Festival delle Nazioni in Città di Castello, winning scholarships as the best student. He works as a pianist and choir director, he has given approximately 900 concerts throughout Europe, in Ukraine and the Republic of China Taiwan. Many of his choral compositions have been published by E. C. Schirmer and Galaxy (USA), Edizioni Sulasol, Edizioni Carrara, A Coeur Joie, Pro Musica Studium, Edizioni Musicali Europee, Edizioni Federation Cori del Trentino, Choraliter, Tourdion, Ut Orpheus, and Bo Ejeby Forlag (Goteborg), and have been performed by some of the most important choirs in the world. As a choir director he has won numerous national (Quartiano, Vittorio Veneto, Arezzo, Trento) and international (Riva del Garda, Verona) competitions with mixed choirs, treble voice choirs and male voice choirs. Creator and Artistic Director of the first two editions of the Concorso Pigarelli in Arco (Trento), he is now Artistic Director of the National and International Choral Competition of Treble Voices 'Il Garda in Coro' in Malcesine (Verona), the Cultural Association EdizioniCorali.it, the National Competition 'Trofeo Nazionale Cori d'Italia' for Male Choirs in Ledro (Trento) and the International Choral Competition in Riva del Garda. Since its foundation in 2000, he has been director of the Treble Voice 'Garda Trentino' choir, with which, among numerous awards, he has won the competitions in Arezzo, Quartiano, Vittorio Veneto, Vienna. Former director of the Città di Ala choir with which he won the national competition in Biella and the international competitions in Riva del Garda and Verona. Former teacher at the Conservatories of Pescara and Adria, he now teaches Rhythmic Theory and Music Perception at the Conservatory in Trento. Email: enricomiaroma@hotmail.com
