Enrico Vercesi was born in Broni (Pavia) on 8th October 1972. He studied at the Ambrosian Pontifical Institute of Sacred Music. He has taught Gregorian Chant, Choir Conducting and, in particular, Liturgical Musicology, in various courses in Italy and has published several articles, in Italy and abroad. As a composer he wrote numerous pages of music for the liturgy, two cantatas and a single oratorio. Since 2018 he has been Master of the Musical Chapel of the Basilica - Sanctuary of the Madonna della Guardia in Tortona where he directs the “San Luigi Orione” Choir; he is titular organist of the Parish of Stradella (PV), teaches at the Music Academy of “Città di Stradella” and collaborates on a regular basis with the Cathedral of Tortona. He teaches training courses for singers and choir directors of the diocese of Tortona, together with L. Dellacasa, Father M. Ferraldeschi, and the Bishop, H.E. Bishop Vittorio Francesco Viola, ofm.
