Author: Giovanni Mirabile

Giovanni Mirabile is born in Messina. After his musical studies he found in 1993 the Coro Polifonico’s orchestra Ouverture. He was designated as the first conductor of the Coro Giovanile Siciliano. With these choirs he gained awards and recognition in several national contests. He now conducts the national premiere of Karl Jenkins’ ’The Armed Man’. He was transferred to Rome and chosen as maestro collaboratore with Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia’s choirs. He has recorded five choral CDs and several video recordings. He was in charge of the teachers’ education at l’Associazione Europa inCanto, he has dictated courses in Brussels and Madrid, apart from many others at several Italian theatres. He has participated and was deeply involved in Rai Scuola. He has composed choir and orchestra pieces, among which is the Inno ufficiale dei borghi più belli d'Italia. He has been chosen as the successor of the Maestra Gea Garatti directing the ’international Opera Choir’ of Rome. He has also made choral symphony productions for television and cinema.
